Building Michigan’s Youth-Led Political Future
Michigan FIRE Action is a new statewide 501(c)(4) initiative ensuring that young people, especially BIPOC, rural, immigrant, and working-class youth historically excluded from power, are at the center of shaping Michigan’s political future.
In 2026, Michigan faces some of the most consequential elections in the nation: an open Governor’s race, two Senate races, and four critical US House races. The stakes couldn’t be higher, and young people will be the difference.
Our mission is not just to mobilize youth for one election cycle, but to build the infrastructure for long-term power. MI FIRE Action blends immediate electoral strategies with deep organizing, leadership pipelines, and campus-based hubs that anchor year-round youth power in communities across Michigan.
